Aquarius Men: How to Apologize to One

It’s never easy to learn how to apologize to someone, and this is especially true when apologizing to Aquarius men. The Aquarius man does not become easily upset or offended, and so when they are angered, it can be difficult to get back

Aquarius men are not overly emotional, and they cannot really express emotion that well, though this of course means they feel no feelings. Because they do not acknowledge emotions or understand them, taking a traditional approach on giving an emotional apology does not generally go over very well.

The first thing to do is to think about what you need to apologize about and the damage and consequences done by your actions. Something that is small and trivial is far easier to ask for forgiveness for than something much more serious.

Consider what his reaction may have been when you did something to upset him. Did he get angry and yell at you? Or did he just shake you off and walk away to absorb himself in something that does not make him upset? Aquarians are not usually confrontational, but if you do something to provoke their ignored emotional side, it could get ugly. As they tend to bottle up all of their emotions, sometimes that bottle can become too full.

Timing is everything when choosing to apologize. Don’t do it while he is still angry or upset. Give him some time to relax and look at the situation practically and logically. Aquarians are very logical thinkers, and often times having time to really think about how or why something may have happened will help him realize it was unavoidable or no one is really to blame.

Work a compliment into your apology. Aquarians thrive on praise and positive reinforcement, so it is better to say something along the lines that will help reinforce this while apologizing. For example: “I really love how you do xyz for me, and I was wrong to criticize your way of doing it, because that is what makes you so special and unique.” Sometimes presenting it as a logical and stimulating discussion can help him open enough to talk about what happened and how to fix it.

Creativity can help many apologies go over much more smoothly. It’s very important for you to take into consideration the common Aquarius likes and dislikes to help you plan your apology. The more creative you can be in asking for forgiveness, as well as the more effort you put into it, the more likely he will be accepting and forgiving.

Aquarius Physical Traits

Those born between January 20th and February 19th often share some common Aquarius physical traits. Obviously, genetics and nationality will play a role into what people look like, but it is surprising how much people born under this sign have in common as far as appearance and mannerisms go.

Aquarians are generally tall and thin when they eat a proper diet and get the right amount of exercise and physical activity. Their restless nature does not cause them to sit around and do nothing, so they typically are not obese. However, they may be a bit on the stocky side, as they usually have larger body frames.

They are not graceful, and sometimes may even be a little clumsy. Their movements may seem jerky. Because they are often restless, you may find they have trouble sitting still in one place for very long, and if they need to wait for something, it’s not uncommon to see them either browsing through a magazine or drumming and tapping their fingers or toes.

The Aquarius is very friendly and social and warm to others, so it social settings you will notice that he or she shows very open body language. They will not have their arms or legs crossed, nor will their fists be clenched. You may notice when talking to you they will tilt their head.

Aquarians are very happy and outgoing, so their expressions on their face are usually ones of happiness and eagerness. Because they detatch themselves from emotion, you will generally not find them looking sad or miserable, because life is too big of an adventure to waste time thinking about feelings to them.

Because of his or her social nature, you can expect that he or she will make and maintain great eye contact. The eyes of an Aquarius often appear to be dreamy and sometimes distant, but they are usually quite engaged in whatever they are doing in the present.

Their clothing style is often very relaxed, and you will not usually see them comfortable in formal attire or business dress. They will usually have open shirt collars or unbuttoned tops and wear loose and flowing clothing.

Their hair is often thick and coarse. They may wear their hair up or keep it short if female, males tend to cut their hair a bit shorter.

Don’t be surprised if the Aquarian you meet has a lot of interesting gadgets. Their love for new and innovative ideas will make it quite likely he or she will have the latest and greatest cell phone or other gadget that makes life easier.

Traits of the Aquarius Man

If you are interested in a relationship with a male Aquarian, it helps to know and understand traits of the Aquarius man and to help you determine if dating one is the best option for you.

Aquarian men can be difficult to understand until you get to know their personality characteristics. They are often misunderstood, which can cause problems in relationships, but once you understand their inner workings and the way they think and feel and observe life – it all becomes much easier.

The chief characteristic that is important to remember with all Aquarians is that they value freedom and independence above all. You cannot control an Aquarius or try to limit their freedom, especially in love, as it will only drive him away farther. The most difficult part for mates to deal with is the way he does not recognize his own emotions. Some say he is detatched from emotions, but it is not that he does not feel anything – feelings just do not take priority in his life. He would rather make decisions on logic instead of how he feels about something. If you are discussing emotional topics, be prepared for vague, complex, or confusing answers, as this is his way of avoiding them.

He will not likely be jealous of others very often, especially in relationships. Since he values freedom, he will allow his partner to have freedom and be independent, so it is best he is with an equally independent loving mate, or his mate may feel neglected. 

Aquarians tend to skip from one thing to the next, as they love change and new things. Sometimes this can be annoying to other signs who rather keep things the way they are or do not like projects to go unfinished. When they come across a new interest, they will take a great interest in it and give it all of their attention, but this hyperfocus does not last for long. This is why the courtship period with an Aquarius may be very exciting and full of romance, but longer term relationships may sometimes seem neglected.

The Aquarian male can become restless very easily. While he tends to be loyal and committed to his mates, this can cause some problems in the relationship department, especially if it seems as if things have fallen into a rut. While they will not usually cheat on a partner, you may find that instead of putting the effort into fixing a relationship, he may instead become distant and absorbed with another cause or project.

It is easy for an Aquarius to meet new people, as they love social interaction. Finding a mate for them is not as difficult for others as it may seem, since they naturally attract others by their captivating interests and activities.

Courtship with an Aquarius will usually go very well in the beginning, as when the Aquarian finds a new interest, such as a romantic relationship, he or she becomes very passionate and involved in it. However, unless you are one of the signs that are compatible with Aquarius, usually after courtship some problems may ensue.

Aquarians love their freedom and independence. This means that in relationships, the other partner needs to be understanding of this, otherwise it will cause a lot of issues. You cannot control or even try to control an Aquarius, and doing so will cause much resentment and anger.

You will not likely experience trust issues with an Aquarius, since they do not become jealous, though if you are the possessive, controlling, or jealous type you may find yourself suspicious of him or her, even though there may be no reason to be.

When you know what Aquarius likes and dislikes, it is easier for you to understand the Aquarian mind and know what things will appeal to him or her and which things will turn him or her off. This list by no means is exhaustive, but it will give you better insight into Aqaurians.

Things Aquarius Likes

Sports: The Aquarius likes aerobic sports which will get their entire body working. They usually enjoy sports that are fast paced, changing, and moving, such as bicycling, hiking, walking, swimming, and others. Do not be surprised if the Aquarian takes an interest in a new sport on a regular basis.

Causes: Aquarians are very passionate in Humanitarian causes and beliefs. An Aquarian may feel right at home volunteering for special causes or in charity work and helping others. Others may take an interest in political issues.

Foods: Aquarians love foods such as strawberries, figs, green leafy vegetables, and others. They will not hesitate about trying new or unusual foods.

Who do Aquarius get along with? The answer is everybody, but there are some signs that are compatible with Aquarius more so than others. Because Aquarians are freedom loving types, they can sometimes clash with those who do not understand or appreciate the same type of lifestyle.

Whether you are looking to be friends or romantically involved or to conquer the world together, knowing Aquarius compatibility will definitely help you know whether you can get along well or if you’re personalities will clash.

Because Aquarius is an air sign, it is not surprising that the best signs compatible with Aquarius include other air signs.

Libra: Libras will be understanding of the free will of the Aquarius and they have what it takes to be open and understanding as well. They will be interested by the Aquarians passions and interests.
